Ultracopier is application which replace your copy/move dialog when you copy/move your files. It's multi-platform, have great support and community.
It have focus on the data security, performance, bug prevent and modularity. It have multiple version like portable version, debug version, 64Bits version.
You can comparate Ultracopier with teracopy, supercopy, copy handler like me.
Their basic features are:

error management (always skip, retry, put at the end, ...)
collision management (always overwrite if newer, ...)
speed limitation
play/pause, copy list management

Hello,

I'm happy to bring you the Christmas edition of Ultracopier 0.3. It is in alpha state but can be used without major issues. Ultracopier 0.3 raises the bar for performance. The module to intercept the copy under Windows (catchcopy) has been updated to the latest version. The plugin support is yet to be finished. The website for plugins and updates is still on the todo list. Only a French translation is available but you can ask me for a translation pack. Ultracopier 0.3 is based on Qt 4.8.
By default, the interface is similar to supercopier's but teracopy's is also available. This version should be on par with 0.2 regarding features but with increased performance and data safety. The support and development of version 0.2 is definitively stopped.

This release is not officially marked as stable but should not cause any major issue.This alpha release is declined in several version:

For early adopters that are eager to discover what's in stock for Ultracopier 0.3.0.0, I've just released a technology preview:

It's a pre-alpha release thus, do NOT except stability. Anyway, it's a good preview of the next version. Just enjoy, this release comes after one year of development. Note that Ultracopier now offers more possibilities than Teracopy, copy handler and supercopier.

I am currently toying with a working version of Ultracopier. Here is my present for Christmas:

Development is still going on. Remember that this version will not be publicly released until donations refund the version 0.2 development costs.
I am looking for motivated people to join the Ultracopier team (developer, translator, idea, poll reply, designer, webmaster, KDE/Gnome integration, ...) because I am on my own.

Online updater + website to download plugins
On the fly application of language/interface/copy engine -> plugin in general
Choose your copy engine for better control (KIO under KDE) and performance
Copy engine for everything (http -> download web site, ftp, rsync, ...)
Wait for a copy from everywhere (network, interception plugin of other software, ...)

Hello, I have release the version 0.2.0.16, it fix only the settings file path into the portable version.
Thanks to Gilgamesh via a topic about Ultracopier which have found thanks to google.

I resume very slowly the developing of ultracopier in version 0.3. Lots of new features for this new version:

The compatibility with catchcopy v0002.
Support of the plugins and download of them directly from internet, same for the languages
Internal remake for more performance, and clearness for the developers
Copy engine as plugin, for each developer can choose the language (Qt/KDE/rsync/c++/...) and everyone can code his own copy engines
Remake of skins for better integration

Warning, I do not release my work while the donations are low.

I'm happy that's announce the final version 0.2 of ultracopier. This version add the correction of last bug found after long verification (lot of software like winmerge used for check it), bugs when using translation, and correction of English, and the translation into 12 language (and the writing of a page for do your translating or correct the existing translating)

For the next version lot of unique novelty into the copier, like: plugin, auto-updater, choice of the engine of copie, direct download or via the site of plugins/languages/resources by rating, download, ... But of course: optimization, remake, ... and using the next version of the catchcopy protocol
But few donate, then I will not do the next version at the same speed, because I have a life (rare case for a geek lol), and I can't re buys again freelance with only my cash.

EDIT: Update of the version for include the german translation.

Hello, this version should be the latest before the release version, and the starting of support the plugins. It inclut anti-blocking algorithm, better packaging (for the versions windows 32Bits and debian amd64), and now 2 copy can be enchain in same window.
I re do my call, I have really need of donates and help. Without that's, the projet can be stopped or slow down.

Version that corrects the problems of packaging, the x64 version no longer depends on VS2008, I opened the channel #ultracopier on irc for chat.freenode.org. I ultracopier spread on p2p to promote especially abroad, I add the version numbers in all the names.

Hello, this version correct default options, improve the auto-detection of language, have better language management, and prepare for the plugins. This version should by the last of the branch 0.2.0.X, the next will be with plugins.
Thanks to SDK Mac, this version will should work on all Mac.

The site have been remake, usage and installation guide have been do. Download section auto-detect the Os configuration. The screen shot section have been remake too. And the error 404 have been customized.

Hello, the beta version is out, with final fix of all the bug. The option "write thread" and "preallocation" is enabled as default.
For the next minor version the plugin, resources, ... can by added, the format is not finalized.

EDIT:
Binary corrected for Mac, and fully tested on Mac Snow leopard.

Hello, the version 0.2.0.5 is out, with lot of bug fix and core changing.
I have more listen the request of the user.
Bug is present, in this case: with the option "write thread" enable. The options "out at bottom" is disabled for it. Thanks to the user donates, the project required it.
Because personnal raison, the next version will out in more time, but I can finish all the bug fix, and test ultracopier in all case then switch the application to beta (which have no bug)

Hello,
I just released the 0.2.0.4 version, it contains a lot of bug fixes, better external bug management for ultracopier. I have clean up the source code for easier maintenance.
I also fixed bugs on the site comment system.
On the forum, I am asking for recruitment for ultracopier. For specific tasks I plan to hire a freelance thanks to the donates. The donors are always welcome and all skills are searched.

The version 0.2.0.0 use dll make by a freelance for the project catchcopy.
Catchcopy have for target to unifie all ways to communicate with the software to do the copy on the market and provide an API simple for all people which want send order to this software.
Now it provide only windows plugin explorer, mais will be support more file explorer. The total cost is 343€ (55€ of donates, rest by my), thanks to do donates. Need 600€ for convert to kde. Total: 943€.

I had release the versions 32/64Bits for windows. Don't forget that ultracopier 0.2.0.0 and catchcopy are in alpha version (not stable but actively developed)
3 years after the version 0.2.0.0 is out. If you want you can integrate your community.
